The Nashville-based duo, Eve & Mare, perform school-wide concerts and lead songwriting workshops in the classroom (usually with third graders). POWERHOUSE!!! America's Dance
Audiences get to see various styles of folk dance and learn where that style originated before finally seeing them all combined in a uniquely American style called “percussive dance.” Additionally, they are left with a solid understanding of the musicality of this style of dance, specifically of percussion, rhythm, and tempo.

Our school performances comprise of a group of 4-5performers offering traditional Afro-Peruvian music and dance. Our performances range from 30 minutes to one hour and include audience participation, instrument demonstration, and historical and cultural context descriptions.
